A Cumbrian estate agents has confirmed it will be opening up all of its offices again from next week, following a relaxation of the lockdown restrictions.

H&H Land & Estates, which has two offices in Carlisle and premises in Cockermouth, Penrith, Keswick and elsewhere, is one of the businesses taking a step towards normality from this coming Monday.

The offices will be open to arrange property viewings and valuations, as well as property and business advice.

As well as operating seven offices in Cumbria, H&H Land & Estates also has an office in Durham, which will also be opening from Monday.

All visits to their offices will be strictly by appointment, and the two metre social distancing rule will be enforced, as well as other measures, to ensure staff and customer safety.

Managing director Colin Tomlinson said ahead of the reopening: “We have been very much open and supporting our clients virtually throughout this extremely challenging time, however, we understand there is nothing like face-to-face contact.

"As such, we have conducted a thorough risk assessment and can confirm that we have put measures in place to open all our doors again for business.

“Yes it will be different, yes it may feel strange at first, but we want to assure anyone stepping into any of our agencies, that they can expect the safest environment to conduct business and we will provide clear guidance on how this will be done.”
