A Carlisle care home has thanked an assortment of businesses and individuals for their support and kind donations during the coronavirus lockdown.
Staff at Burnrigg Court Residential Care Home, located to the south west of the city, have expressed their gratitude for the deluge of cards, pictures and donations given to them and to residents from businesses and individuals.
From Pirelli Carlisle, which provided a "lovely food hamper", to Morton Manor and Lakeland Bake which provided cakes and crumpets, staff and residents at the Carlisle care home have been kept in high spirits thanks to a steady stream of donations.
"People and businesses from all over the county have been supporting our Care Homes to get through this really difficult time," said a spokesman for Cumbria County Council, which runs the care home.
"Every card, donation and picture has made a real difference to staff and residents, helping lift spirits and letting them know that people are thinking of them."
