A MAN was taken to hospital after an incident in Haltwhistle on Friday morning.
A Great North Air Ambulance Service helicopter landed on the town's war memorial park just after 11am to treat an injured male.
A spokesman for the service said the man was treated on the scene by a doctor and paramedics before being taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle by road by the North East Ambulance Service.
