POLICE are investigating after more than 50 sheep were stolen from a farm in west Northumberland.
A total of 28 ewes and 23 lambs were stolen from a field near Gilsland, between 9am on May 14 and 11am the following day.
The stolen sheep can be identified by a blue flock mark on their shoulder.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police confirmed an investigation had been launched. Anyone with information is asked to get in touch with officers using the Tell us Something page on Northumbria Police's website, quoting log 742 150520.
