RESIDENTS and staff at a care home have been cheered up by colourful pictures and letters from members of the public.
Staff at the Charlotte Straker Project in Corbridge asked members of the community to help them keep spirits up in the care home during lockdown by sending in photos of their rainbows, drawings and letters.
The colourful creations have now been displayed along the corridors and on the windows.
Berenice Groves, chairwoman of the trustees at Charlott Straker, said, “After we posted a request, children and adults in the community have sent us beautiful drawings, rainbows and letters, and I just wanted to say how much our residents and staff appreciate the artwork.
"Every single one that has been sent has been printed out and is displayed in the windows and corridors of our care home.
"Our residents love reading each letter and looking at each picture. The rainbows and children’s drawings are a wonderful symbol of hope in these uncertain times.”
