LAUNCHING a brand new digital marketing business was the sign of an exciting new chapter in the lives of young entrepreneurs Cameron Bruce and Ellen Rea.

The couple launched Prudhoe-based The Creative Side in February, producing content in the North-East, London and Italy.

But their progress has ground to a halt after Covid-19 stopped the majority of the company's creative output.

Cameron Bruce (24), from Stocksfield, launched the new business alongside his girlfriend Ellen Rea (23) based on a shared passion of marketing and professional photography.

"There was one day when we thought we could build something of our own," Cameron said.

"At The Creative Side we are passionate about digital marketing and helping small businesses grow and improve their reach and presence online."

The pair studied film production at university, but followed different career paths after graduating. Cameron turned to marketing while Ellen worked in photography and filmography.

Cameron explained: "It's been really challenging, but also rewarding because we are doing something we are passionate about."

Despite the company's prospect of creating content currently in limbo, the couple remain positive about the future.

"We have all been made aware how important it is to have a strong digital presence."
