Boris Johnson has pledged a new test target, and hinted that some social distancing measures will lifted as early Monday.

During his first Prime Minister's Questions since March, Mr Johnson said it was his "ambition" to get daily coronavirus testing to 200,000 by the end of the month, and then go even higher.

When asked why he had chosen to give an address on Sunday instead of coming to the Commons the following day, Mr Johnson said he wanted "if we possibly can, to get going with these new measures on Monday".

The Prime Minister is expected to set out his 'roadmap' for easing the measures in an address on Sunday.
