THE case of a man accused of carrying a knife in a public place will now take place later this year.
Callum Peacock (30), of Cheviot View, Prudhoe, was due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court last Friday to answer a charge of carrying a bladed article in public.
It is alleged Peacock had the item in his possession while on Prudhoe’s Front Street, on Thursday, March 26.
He was unable to appear in court due to the coronavirus crisis, and the case was adjourned until July 27. He had pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing.
