There are many uplifting stories in this week’s newspaper about people helping each other amid the coronavirus crisis.
A woman walking in her wedding dress to raise money in memory of her late husband; restaurants providing hot food to NHS staff; children paying tribute to key workers with their Easter egg designs; a vicar shaving off his beard of 40 years for a good cause… the list goes on.
The kindness shown amongst our community shines a light on what would otherwise be darker days.
Our contributor to this week’s churches together column summed it up when he wrote: “It is the selfless courage of frontline workers that reminds us that love always wins the day.”
