CONFIRMED cases of coronavirus in Northumberland continue to increase as a further 26 cases were announced on Thursday.
Public Health England said there were now 298 cases of the virus in the county, an increase from 272 on Wednesday.
The Northumbria Healthcare Trust said 58 people had died from the virus at the trust's hospitals.
On Thursday, the UK recorded 881 deaths from Covid-19.
There are 65,077 cases of coronavirus in the UK, which have led to 7,978 deaths.
