Two green fingered youngsters have brought joy to neighbours during the doom and gloom caused by the coronavirus.
Brothers Noah (7) and Oscar McClenaghan (2) delivered 40 sunflower seeds to Castlefields residents, in Prudhoe, with the help of sister Emily and mum Melissa.
The pupils at the town’s St Matthews RC School explained they held an annual family sunflower competition, but hoped to include other children this year, whilst the country is in lockdown.
Oscar said: “We wanted to try and make people smile. We are really looking forward to the summer, when we hope to see lots of big sunflowers in gardens and windows.”
The sunflowers, hand-delivered with a letter and a plaque made by Sarah Pattinson Ceramics, have been greatly received.
