A POPULAR Tyne Valley golf club was ram-raided over the weekend.
A window at Close House Golf Club at Heddon-on-the-Wall was rammed by a vehicle, before thieves made off with items from the club shop.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "Shortly after 8.30am on April 2, police received a report of a burglary at Close House Golf Club.
"It was reported that the shop on the premises had been broken into.
"It is believed a vehicle was used to ram the window of the shop before items were then taken including clothing and golf equipment.
"An investigation has been launched and inquiries are on going."
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police, using reference number 139 02/04/20.
