A POPULAR Tynedale restaurant are going all out to support the NHS with freshly-cooked meals.

Staff from Saathi's in Hexham delivered the hot meals to staff at Hexham General Hospital last week.

Restaurant owner Titu Ahad and his team of chefs; including Abdul Khalick, Syeed Najeeb, and Delwar Hassain, prepared a four-course dinner of onion bhaji, chicken curry, pilau rice, paratha bread, with Gulab jamun for dessert.

Individually packed and personally delivered to the Hospital Staff on Tuesday, March 31, completely free.

Titu said: “I have been supported for many years by our loyal customers in Tynedale, I am pleased to be able to give something back to say Thank You for all of the hard work and dedication from the NHS at this very difficult time”.

The restaurant is currently opening especially to give this service to the Hospital and Titu has offered to continue with this as often as they would like it for the weeks to come.

He is also extending this service to other groups of people who are going that extra mile to make at difference in the local community. Individuals can contact Titu to find out more and whether he can help your nominated group.

After taking advice from Environmental Health Northumberland, Titu said he will operate a takeaway service from his sister restaurant Indus Valley at Hexham Railway Station from Friday April 3, from 5pm to 11pm.
