A POPULAR pub and brewery is offering a new delivery service so people can enjoy a pub experience during the coronavirus lockdown.

The Twice Brewed Inn has reacted to the nationwide closure of pubs and restaurants by offering punters the chance to enjoy their a beer and a pub quiz - in their own homes.

For £30, the pub will deliver what it is calling the Pub in a Box package.

It includes a cask of Sycamore Gap Pale Ale, along with pint glasses, crisps, nuts, beer mats and a pub quiz.

Twice Brewed has even thrown in a roll of toilet paper into the package.

Head brewer, Matthew Brown, said: “With almost everyone having to stay at home to do their best to protect the NHS and save lives, we thought it might be nice to put something together give our customers a little flavour of The Twice Brewed and our brews to enjoy while they can’t come to us.

“People seem to really appreciate the idea and are taking comfort from being able to have a proper pint of some of their favourite brews at home.

“I’m working solo at the Brew House in order to protect the health and wellbeing of our staff.

“All deliveries will be undertaken with the utmost attention to hygiene and social distancing guidelines.”

Local orders, which must be paid for online or by phone, will be delivered for free every Thursday.

More products will be added to the Brew House’s online shop in the coming days and weeks, including a wider selection of mini casks and a beer tasting box.
