A WOMAN has been charged with drink-driving after it was alleged she crashed her car into a tree.
Sarah Moses (43), of Channel Well House, Hexham, was charged with one count of driving over the limit and one count of failing to report an accident after being arrested on Thursday.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "At 8.55am on Thursday, we received a report a white car had come into collision with a tree near Dipton Mill Road, Hexham.
"Officers attended and emergency services attended but the driver had already left the scene.
"The driver was located a short while later and arrested on suspicion of driving while over the legal alcohol limit."
Moses is due to appear at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court on April 30.
