A PATIENT at a Hexham doctors surgery has been hospitalised with coronavirus.
The Sele Medical Practice made the announcement this week, urging residents to follow government guidance about social distancing and self isolation.
The surgery also has two GPs in self-isolation due to contact with the virus.
A statement on the practice's website read: "We are currently open but request that patients with high temperatures or a new cough or patients living with others that have these symptoms DO NOT visit the Practice.
"You can access 111 online or phone if you have either of those symptoms, or are isolating and require further advice."
