A DOCUMENTARY starring a Hexham woman has won a second prestigious award.
Vicki Dillon starred in The Parkinson’s Drug Trial: A Miracle Cure?, which hit screens on BBC 2 last February.
The two-part documentary has now won in the Science and Natural History category at the Royal Television Society Programme Awards.
The awards were presented via video-link due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
The victory follows The Parkinson Drug Trial’s success at the Grierson Awards, triumphing in the best science documentary category.
Vicki said: “We’re really chuffed to bits that the documentary has won.
“I’m delighted and proud to have been a part of it. Let’s just hope we can make it three wins in a row at the BAFTAs!”
