A MOTORIST has appeared in court for speeding on a Newcastle road.
Michael Brooks (33), of Priestlands Court, Hexham, was fined £166 after admitting at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on Monday to exceeding the 30mph limit on Stamfordham Road on September 15. He pleaded guilty to the charge.
He was ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £32.
In addition, Brooks’ driving licence was endorsed with three penalty points.
