A THIEF has been given a suspended jail sentence for stealing items worth £28 from Poundstretcher.
At South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Wednesday, James Isaac Dodd (35), of Woodlea Crescent, Hexham, was sentenced to six weeks in custody, suspended for 12 months, after pleading guilty to stealing two washing up products and four coffee drinks totalling £27.93 from the town’s Poundstretcher..
He was ordered to pay the full sum to the store in compensation.
