ANOTHER business has confirmed it will open a brand new store at Prudhoe’s new retail park.

Retailer B&M has announced it will open a store on the Tyneview Retail Park, which is due to open later this year.

It follows the announcement last week that McDonald’s will be coming to the town as part of the development.

A spokeswoman for B&M said: “We’re delighted to be opening our first ever store in Prudhoe.

“Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded products including toys, food and drink, pet range, health & beauty and homewares.

“The store will also boast an extensive DIY, decorating and furniture range, as well as a garden centre.

“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door later this year.”

Northumberland Estates is constructing the site on land south of Princess Way.

Aldi and Cafe Ginevra had already confirmed they will operate on the site - and another familiar business looks set to join them, after bakery chain Greggs confirmed it was looking at a site in the town.

A spokeswoman for the company said: “We can confirm that Greggs is interested in a shop opening on a site in Prudhoe.

“This would be something to be considered later in 2020 and we will have more information around the potential site later in the year.”
