A CORBRIDGE man will go on trial after denying sexually assaulting a woman.

Jake Lowdon (29), of Aydon Road, appeared at Newcastle Crown Court on Tuesday.

Lowdon pleaded not guilty to sexual assault, and he also denied a separate charge of common assault.

The charges relate to alleged incidents which occurred in Blyth on February 14.

He has been released on bail and will reappear at Newcastle Crown Court on May 13 where he is due to stand trial.
