Chris Clement has joined H&H Insurance Brokers, which operates throughout the North, and will be responsible for developing its products and services to the wider agricultural industries and increasing its existing non-agricultural commercial offering.

Mr Clement has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, including extensive knowledge of the rural sector.

He started as a junior in an insurance brokers in Darlington and has worked his way up. Latterly, he was account executive for McClarrons Ltd, an independent insurance broker in Yorkshire and prior to this, built up a highly successful insurance career working in strategic roles for Swinton and NFU Mutual.

H&H Insurance Brokers said the new position within the team was a strategic one to ensure that the business would be able to respond to the changing needs of the industry and clients.

He will work closely with managing director Paul Graham to ensure further growth and development of niche markets.

Mr Clement said: “I am thrilled to be taking up this exciting opportunity. It is well respected within the industry and is also known for having excellent relationships with its clients.

“My aims going forward are to grow the rural commercial side of the business, look at new services and expand our geographical reach. Of key importance to me is to work with the team to remain incredibly client-focused and continue to offer a second-to-none insurance support service to clients.”

Mr Graham said: “His knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, the area and the industry will be an asset to our growing team and portfolio. It’s a key role for our company, which will continue to strengthen our presence and further expand our services.”
