A TYNEDALE high school has said one of its pupils is self-isolating as a precaution after recently visiting an area affected by Coronavirus.
Haydon Bridge High School headteacher Darren Glover sent an email to parents on Wednesday reassuring them, explaining that the school continued to follow the Government's advice.
"The students have been informed in assemblies about the need for increased awareness of hygiene," Mr Glover said.
The school has installed additional hand wash facilities around the school.
Northumberland County Council said children should attend school as normal, unless they were contacted by Public Health England and advised otherwise.
