A MAN has denied stealing items from two parked cars in Hexham.

At South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, James Isaac Dodd (35), of Woodlea Crescent, Hexham, denied two charges of stealing from a vehicle.

It is alleged, on February 6, he stole cash and debit cards to the value of £105 from a car in Dilston Avenue and two Berghaus jackets worth £200 from another vehicle parked on Bondgate Close.

He will stand trial at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court on May 22.

Dodd pleaded guilty to a charge of committing fraud by using a stolen debit card to buy food on the same date. He will be sentenced on May 22.
