HUNDREDS of people are expected to attend the annual Hexham Tourism Fair next week.
The event will take place at Hexham Auction Mart on Thursday, March 19 and will attract more than 70 of the region’s most popular visitor attractions.
Food and drink providers, visitor attractions and tourism organisations will be exhibiting on the day.
The Hexham Fair, and its sister event in Alnwick, taking place on Tuesday, March 17, are once again being supported by Northumberland County Council.
Nigel Jarvis, chairman of the Heart of Hadrian’s Wall Tourism Association said: “The Hexham Tourism Fair is an excellent networking opportunity for attractions and accommodation providers alike.”
Hospitality providers from across the county and beyond will be welcomed at the event, which will take place from 10am to 2.30pm. Members of the public are also welcome and refreshments will be available at the mart cafe.
“The Tourism Fairs are a ‘don’t miss’ date in the calendar for accommodation providers to collect information about local attractions for their guests,” said Philip Angier, the event organiser from Local Living.
“It’s a popular networking day for exhibitors and a great way for local people to find out about festivals, events and family days out in 2020.”
