FURTHER information about four vehicles involved in road accidents on Thursday morning has been released by Northumbria Police.
The force revealed the B6319 road between Warden and Fourstones was closed shortly after 8am for three separate incidents because of icy conditions.
A spokeswoman for the police said that, within a half hour period, two vehicles came off the road after hitting ice, moments before two vehicles collided with each other.
Emergency services attended the scene but said no injuries were reported.
The B6319 was temporarily closed while the carriageway was cleared.
