STORM force winds of up to 70mph are set to batter Cumbria and the large parts of northern England after forecaster issues ANOTHER weather warning.
The Met Office has issued the wind warning for the weekend - it is set to hit from noon on Saturday, February 29, for 24 hours.
It already has already issued a rain warning for the county which will be in place from tomorrow, Friday, February 28, 12pm, to 9am the following day.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Strong winds will move into south-western parts of the UK by Saturday afternoon, and steadily move north-east through the course of Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday morning.
"Gusts of 50-60mph are likely quite widely, and especially in association with heavier showers across England and Wales during Saturday afternoon.
"More isolated gusts of 65-70 mph, particularly on coasts and other exposed areas, are probable."
Howling gales are likely to cause disruption on road, rail, air and ferry transport, this includes delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely.
It is likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities affected by spray and/or large waves.
Earlier this month communities across Cumbria were left reeling after storms Ciara and Dennis wreaked havoc.
