A FORMER country house hotel received no bids at an auction on Wednesday night.
Otterburn Hall was included in an auction held at the Grand Hotel, Gosforth Park, Newcastle.
The Grade II listed property, within the Otterburn Hall estate, has not been used for many years.
The auction guide price was set at £235,000 and included the former hotel and country house and more than 16 acres of surrounding land with planning consent for a 26-bed hotel, wedding venue, restaurant and bar and spa.
The hall was placed under auction last year for a guide price of £550,000, but was withdrawn before the auction.
A private fishing lake and river are also included, and drawings have been produced for the introduction of lodges on the site.
A spokeswoman for auctioneers, Agents Property Auction, said any offers for the property could still be accepted.
