HEXHAM Courant social media followers have shared their photos from across the district after the area was blanketed in snow.
Roads have been blocked and many schools have been closed following heavy snowfall overnight and this morning.
The Met Office has a yellow weather warning in place for snow and rain lasting until 3pm.
A further warning for ice comes into place at 8pm tonight lasting until 10am tomorrow.
Heavy rain is expected this afternoon with temperatures rising slightly to 6C.
