FURTHER wet and windy weather is expected throughout the week despite the fact Storm Dennis has passed.
The Met Office has warned that more rain could cause further flooding following two consecutive weekends of downpours.
Chief meteorologist Andy Page said: “Further rain will arrive on Wednesday evening and this is likely to become prolonged and possibly heavy over areas of high ground.
"With the ground already saturated there is a chance of further flooding, members of the public should check their flood risk and stay up to date with flood warnings."
Rain has been forecast for much of the upcoming week.
South Wales, which already bore the brunt of Storm Dennis, is expected to be worst hit, with a chance that up to 60mm of rain could fall in the area in 24 hours.
