A PONTELAND nurse was among those to be recognised for their achievements at a regional awards ceremony.
Simon Warne, a nurse at Ponteland Medical Practice, won the Surgery Education Award at the Angels of the North Awards ceremony.
The awards, which were held at the Ramside Hotel in Durham on February 11, recognised the skill, expertise and dedication of practice nurses from across the North-East and North Cumbria.
In addition, Neal Bradford of Northumbria Primary Care won the award for Outstanding Healthcare Support Worker.
Emma Nunez, director of nursing in North Cumbria and the North East at NHS England and Improvement, said: “We are thrilled so many people have come forward to nominate practice nurses for these awards.”
