Police are investigating several burglaries in a village
POLICE are investigating after the garages of 12 homes in a village were targeted by thieves during a single evening.
Ten garages in Clara Vale, near Wylam, were broken into on Monday evening, while criminals also attempted to break into two more.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "We can confirm we are investigating a number of reports that garages were broken in to in the Clara Vale area on Monday evening.
"Enquiries into the break-ins are ongoing."
