A SECTION of the roof at Hexham's Wentworth Leisure Centre has been damaged due to recent high winds and heavy rainfall.
Council workers are currently working at the facility to repair the damage.
An area of disabled and two-hour parking bays opposite the centre's main entrance are currently unavailable while the work takes place.
A spokeswoman for Northumberland County Council said: "During the bad weather on Tuesday evening a section of the edge of the roof came off during the night.
"Now the winds have dropped the contractors are going to get onto the roof on Thursday to fix it."
