Northumberland County Council has announced its intention to change the conversation around mental health in the workplace by signing ‘Time to Change’ employer pledge.
The pledge supports organisations by providing the best policy and practice to support the mental wellbeing of staff, while emphasising that it is just as important as physical wellbeing.
Coun. Trevor Cessford, mental health champion at the council, said: “We are working hard to put in place best-practice interventions and policy to help our staff work in ways that promote a positive mental wellbeing.”
