A COMEDIAN known for his well-publicised stunts on some of the world’s most famous names will bring his award-winning show to the Tyne Valley.

As his alter ego Lee Nelson, Simon Brodkin made the headlines across the globe with stunts pulled on Donald Trump, Theresa May, rap giant Kanye West, Fifa president Sepp Blatter and the judges on Britain’s Got Talent.

Fresh from his sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the artist takes his debut show, 100% Simon Brodkin, on a nationwide tour, stopping off at the Queen’s Hall, in Hexham, on Friday, February 7 at 8pm.

As Lee Nelson, aside from making the news for his controversial stunts, he has had three successful series on the BBC and sold out multiple tours, but is going all out this time around and the award-winning comedian is performing as himself.

While Simon is best known for his pranks as Lee Nelson, he also hit the headlines as the fictional professional footballer Jason Bent who managed to sneak in to warm up with the Manchester City team ahead of a Premier League game with Everton, and was carted off by security as he nearly boarded the England team plane as they flew to Miami ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
