NORTHUMBERLAND National Park Authority is looking for a new operator for a cafe at its visitor centre near Hadrian’s Wall.
Applications can now be submitted to run the 90-seater cafe at The Sill near Twice Brewed after the current operators gave their six-month notice.
The cafe is a hub for The Sill’s visitors, and the new franchise will have the chance to help raise the commercial profile of visitor centre through a growth in corporate events, activity programme corporate events and seasonal fairs.
Claire Mason, The Sill’s operations manager, said she was looking forward to seeing who would apply.
She said: “The Once Brewed Cafe is an integral part of the visitor experience here at The Sill, providing spectacular views of the park and is a key opportunity to connect people with the story of landscape.
“We’re excited to see the culinary talent that is on offer in the North-East and make our cafe a key part of what is already an award-winning visitor destination.”
The national park’s criteria for a new provider means that the ideal candidate will share the authority’s ethos of healthy eating, with fresh, local, organic produce on offer where possible. However, The Sill will welcome new and creative ideas to engage customers with the region and landscape through food and events.
Any parties interested in applying should email irene.humble@nnpa.org.uk for more information or visit www.thesill.org.uk
