CRICKETERS were bowled over when a charity dinner raised more than £1,000 for Wiltshire Air Ambulance so now they are going to do the same again.
Members of Devizes Cricket Club held their first charity dinner at Devizes Sports Club last year and attracted more than 100 people to hear England cricketer Robert Croft speak and to learn about the work of the air ambulance.
Now they are organising another dinner on March 6 from 7pm when England and Ashes legend Matthew Hoggard will be guest speaker.
Club captain Joe Wookeysaid: “We are looking forward to a hugely exciting evening as I’m sure he will have some amazing stories!
Once again Wiltshire Air Ambulance will benefit from profits. Tickets are now on sale priced at £450 for a table of ten.
Mr Wookey with his young daughter Willow and Ben McGowan from the cricket club visited the air ambulance headquarters at Semington to present a cheque to paramedic Craig Wilkins.
