RESIDENTS will be given the chance to speak to Northumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Kim McGuinness, about policing or community safety issues.
She will be available to meet on a one-to-one basis, where the public can discuss matters of concern privately, and in confidence.
Miss McGuiness said: “In my role it’s so important that I’m accessible to local residents.
“I want to meet with people, listen to them, and learn more about what Northumbria Police is doing well at and what needs improving – so we can do something about it.”
Miss McGuinness, who was appointed last year, vowed to prioritise the issues facing rural communities.
The surgery will be held in the Ethelreda Room at Hexham Abbey on Tuesday, February 18, from 10.30am until midday. To book an appointment, telephone (0191) 221 9800 in advance.
