THE Tyne Rivers Trust has collaborated with Newcastle-based independent brewery and tap room, Tyne Bank Brewery, to launch a charity beer aimed at protecting the very river from which it is sourced.

The environmental charity dedicated to looking after the River Tyne has helped create Tyne Riverlution, an American-style ale. Tyne Bank Brewery will donate 10p from every sale to the charity to continue its work which works to improve water quality, reduce pollution and improve habitat in the River Tyne.

Ceri Gibson, director of Tyne Rivers Trust said: “We’re delighted that a business is taking this bold and socially conscious step to help us improve the river.

“We work to combat the effects of climate change to ensure that the River Tyne and its tributaries are healthy, biodiverse and an asset for present and future generations.”
