MOTORISTS involved in a three-vehicle crash near Carlisle have escaped serious injury.
Police said the crash happened on the A689 airport road at the junction with Irthington at 7.55am.
Cumbria Police added it involved a Suzuki Alto, Volkswagen Golf and Ford Transit.
Those involved sustained minor injuries.
The road reopened a short time later.
