A SECTION of road will be closed for up to four days next week for investigative work.
The 100m section of the Ovingham road between Wylam and Ovingham, at Howdene Bridge, will be closed from Monday for three to four days.
Work will be carried out by Northumberland County Council to inform the design of a road strengthening scheme it plans to carry out later in the year.
A council spokesman said a diversion would be in place for road users, although local access for residents would be maintained.
