A SEARCH was launched in Haydon Bridge after a girl was reported missing on New Years’s Eve.
Police and mountain rescue volunteers conducted a search for the teenager with a police helicopter hovering over the village on New Year’s Day.
Mountain rescue volunteers sent a text message to the girl’s phone to establish a signal location.
A spokeswoman from Northumbria Police said the teenager was located fit and well on New Year’s Day morning.
