TWO Healthcare services have been shortlisted for a national award.

InHealth and Northumbria Healthcare are finalists for the HSJ Partnership Awards 2020, which recognises dedication to improving healthcare.

Against tough competition, the two organisations, which have worked together for 15 years to provide MRI services, have been nominated for the Best Healthcare Provider Partnership with the NHS Award.

Both organisations have been working towards quicker and more easily accessible MRI scans to patients across Northumberland and North Tyneside, with the aim to have appointments available seven days a week and up to 14 hours per day, within 2.5 weeks of the patient’s referral being received. This helps reduce travel time and the associated costs for many patients.

Graham Ogden, director of operations at InHealth, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for this healthcare provider partnership award, which recognises the truly collaborative approach to partnership working that we have had with Northumbria Healthcare for many years. Since 2004, InHealth has been supporting the trust to deliver improved outcomes for patients, so to be chosen is a wonderful achievement.”

The winners will be selected in a ceremony to be held at Park Plaza Westminster on February 27.
