A FURTHER two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Prudhoe on New Year's Day.
A 32-year-old woman was arrested at the scene after a disturbance at Bradley Road, West Wylam, at around 3.40pm.
Great North Air Ambulance crew members treated the injured man at the scene and he was taken to hospital by road.
A spokesman from Northumbria Police said: "We have now arrested three people, a 30-year-old man and two 32-year-old women, in connection with this investigation.
"They have all been released under investigation and inquiries are ongoing.
“We want to reassure the public that this does not appear to be a random attack and that those involved are all known to each other.”
