A FUND-RAISING campaign aimed at ensuring children can experience live theatre from a young age benefited pupils from Hexham First School.
Before the end of term, youngsters were invited to see A Viking Christmas at the Queen’s Hall in Hexham thanks to the generosity of Hexham-based accountants Patricia J Arnold and Co, who sponsored the trip as part of the ‘A Theatre Ticket for Every Child’ fund-raising campaign
Headteacher, Justine Overton, said: “We are thrilled that children were gifted tickets to see A Viking Christmas. For many of these children it will be their very first experience of live theatre. We are extremely grateful to Queen’s Hall Arts and to all those who are supporting the campaign.”
