RIDERS, spectators and hounds will take to the streets as part of a Boxing Day tradition.
Supporters of Tynedale Hunt, Border Hunt, Haydon Hunt, North Tyne Hunt and Newcastle and District Beagles will gather for their annual hunts.
Tynedale Hunt members will come together in Corbridge Market Place for the annual festive meet, before setting off down Hill Street on a trail hunt through the countryside.
The Border Hunt will start from the village of Otterburn, while the nearby communities in the North Tyne will meet in Wark.
People will descend on Haydon Bridge for the Haydon Hunt, while the Newcastle and District Beagles is expected to start from its traditional meeting point in Stamfordham.
At many of the events, mulled wine and mince pies will be on offer, and roads in and out of the villages are expected to be closed for a period of time.
