A BUMPER £1,641.50 has been raised by the Haltwhistle Chamber of Trade in the annual Christmas lights raffle.
The town’s Chamber of Trade helps organise the annual Late Night Shopping event, and this year was its biggest yet with even more stalls and lights.
The raffle was drawn on Saturday, December 14 by Haltwhistle Town councillor Janette Kendrew and assisted by chamber secretary Julie Sullivan, with the money going towards the Christmas lights.
One of the organisers, Eleanor Clark, said: “We now have a spectacular display of lights, which stretches from Haltwhistle Station along the main street to Town Hall Crescent .
“We are very proud of our lights and by working together each year with the generous help of our local town council they can only get better. Thank you to everyone who has helped in any way with the raffle.”
