TWO hard-working brownies have achieved the highest possible award.
Katie Robson (9) and Isobel Craig (9) are the latest members of Wylam Brownies to achieve their Gold Award.
The award was launched with the new Girlguiding programme in July 2018 and is the highest achievement available.
To earn their awards the girls had to earn interest badges from a variety of themes. They also learnt about becoming a Guide and they chose to run a meeting for other Brownies and leaders.
The meeting was a fun-filled games night with sweetie bingo and Christmas-themed competitions.
Now Isobel is preparing to begin Guides in January, while Katie is looking forward to being at Brownies for a few more months and visiting Pax Lodge, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts Centre in London.
