A COMMUNITY group has received a £500 donation from a Tynedale gardening club.
Corbridge Gardening Club donated the money to social enterprise Higher Ground to help it become sustainable in the future.
The organisation operates as a social enterprise to help people overcome poor mental health through gardening.
Chairwoman of the gardening society, Jane Hastings, said: “I have been up to see the good work they are doing, and seeing the various people involved with this positive project.
“We were delighted to assist a gardening project that helps people with different abilities. We hope this cash donation will help them become more sustainable in the future.”
Project manager at Higher Ground, Jane Pryde, said the donation would enable the organisation to progress expansion plans in 2020.
