A MAN has been sentenced after admitting assaulting another male.
A 12-month restraining order was imposed on Kevin George Atkinson (34), of Riding Dene, Mickley, as he pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.
He admitted to assaulting another man in Mickley on September 22. In addition to the restraining order, Atkinson was fined £40 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £32 and court costs of £85.
A MAN harassed a woman by sending repeated text messages over two days.
Steven Matthew Garbutt (47), of Blackett Court, Wylam, pleaded guilty at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Thursday to harassment without violence by sending the texts on May 31 and June 1.
He received a 12-month community order, which included a restraining order, was fined £40 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and costs of £40.
